Sources in Israel are reporting that Israeli defense officials expect the initial US response to the Attack on America to involve two phases. The first phase will be an air attack on installations in Afghanistan connected to the Osama bin Laden organization. This attack will be carried out from bases in the US, Turkey, possibly Pakistan and off carriers, and will involve cruise missiles as well as heavy bombers. It will take place within days.

CNN is reporting that Pakistan will threaten Afghanistan with a massive US-led attack unless bin Laden is turned over this week.

Wall Street is set to open Monday, and Americans everywhere are worried. This attack was carefully timed; it came at one of the most fragile points for US markets and the US economy in many years. European markets fell sharply after the attack, then slowly rose and are now falling again. Asian markets dropped, then held steady and have begun to stabilize. US treasury yields have dropped to a fifty year low, to rates not seen since the 1930s. Gold has risen dramatically.

Laurie Mylroie, the author of Study of Revenge: Saddam Hussein’s Unfinished War Against America, believes that Saddam may well have had a role in both the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center and the September 11 catastrophe.

The 1993 bombing came on Feburary 26, the second anniversary of the end of the Gulf War. Shortly before the embassy bombings in Africa in 1998, Saddam made anti-US threats and stopped co-operating with UN weapons inspectors.

Less well known is the fact that, after the Gulf War, Iraq set up an overseas intelligence service. It is headquartered in the Sudan, which is also closely tied to Osama bin Laden.

The FBI has released a list of the suspected hijackers who took part in the recent terrorist attacks on the U.S. Before the attacks, these people usually lived quiet, normal lives among the rest of us, in the suburbs of the United States.

If you knew any of these people and have any information about them?especially about their friends or any organizations they may have belonged to, or if anyone suspicious has suddenly and mysteriously disappeared from your neighborhood, please contact the FBI.

If any family in your community has suddenly disappeared without explanation and are not stranded travelers, call local police and let them know that a house has suddenly gone empty.
