Dr. Matthias Rath writes that the United Nation?s ?Codex Alimentarius Commission? wants to outlaw any preventive and therapeutic health statements made in relation to vitamins and other natural therapies worldwide. The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is supporting this.

Rath feels this opposition is being led by multinational drug companies. The prevention and treatment of diseases using natural, over-the-counter vitamins and remedies threatens the huge prescription drug market.

Karl Glazebrook and Ivan Baldry, of Johns Hopkins University, announced in January that they had averaged all colors from the light of 200,000 galaxies and concluded that if the human could see this color, it would be a pale green?the color of the universe.

They now say they reached the wrong conclusion due to flawed software. The effect of the software error was that the computer picked a nonstandard white and mixed it with the other colors to come up with green. When the error was corrected and replaced with a standard white index, ?It looks like beige,? Glazebrook says. ?I don?t know what else to call it. I would welcome suggestions.? In January, Baldry called the color ?cosmic spectrum green.?

Doug O’Harra reports in the Anchorage Daily News that the polar ice cap has been shrinking so fast due to global warming that ships may be sailing through the Northwest Passage each summer by 2015, according to a U.S. Navy report. Commercial ships have wanted to use the Northwest Passage for hundreds of years, ever since the area was first explored, but this will be the first time they will actually be able to do so.

Global warming will open the Arctic Ocean to higher levels commercial activity. The seasonal expansion of open water may draw commercial fishing fleets into the waters north of Alaska within a few decades. The summer ice cover could even disappear entirely by 2050.

Abdulrahman al-Omari, who was named by the U.S. Department of Justice as one of the suicide hijackers of American Airlines flight 11, the first airliner to crash into the World Trade Center, is alive and living in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He was astonished to find himself accused of hijacking, as well as being dead. He?s gone to the U.S. consulate in Jeddah to demand an explanation, but so far hasn?t received one.

It is possible that the hijacker adopted Mr al-Omari?s identity but, if he had been using the same false name while training as a pilot in the U.S., this would probably have been discovered. The U.S. described him as a father of four and al-Omari does have four children. According to a Saudi journalist, he ?is one nervous guy.?
