Supposedly, this is a true story and was the 1st place winner in the recent Criminal Lawyers Award Contest. For a good time at the expense (as usual!) of the poor, beleaguered lawyers among us, keep reading.

A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars then insured them against fire, among other things. Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company. In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost “in a series of small fires.”

The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason: that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued….and won!

An article appeared on this website concerning Japanese UFOs. Its purpose was to draw attention to a story in Metropolis Magazine by Matt Wilce, but Mr. Wilce felt that the article drew from his work in an inappropriate manner. In addition, it attributed the sentence “Perhaps, as they say, the truth is out there,” erroneously. The sentence was contributed by Mr. Wilce. The article has been deleted from Unknowncountry.

“Damon” writes: My grandmother purchased Communion for me when it was released, because she knew I had a strong interest in this field, and yes, I immediately thought I had a connection to the face on the cover.

I still do not remember that much, but I believe I had contact in my earlier years, in 1974, when I was approximately 5 years old, through the age of 16. While I have no memory of interacting or talking to the visitors, here are some of the memories that have come flooding back.
