Scientists are theorizing about the Mexican UFOs. So far, they have been identified as space junk, meteor fragments, burn-off from oil platforms, spontaneous electrical flashes, and our old favorite: ball lightning.

Now researchers have discovered that a protein in human breast milk called adiponectin may lead to a reduced risk of obesity later in life by “programming” our metabolism when we’re infants. A rancher in Canada has found the partially skinned carcass of one of his animals that was drained of blood and also had its tongue cut off. The rancher says, “I don’t really want to speculate on what happened. I know what I saw?It was definitely a sharp object used.”

Monsanto has decided to stop trying to sell genetically-modified wheat?at least for now. This is good for those of us who like variety, because GM corn has been shown to quickly contaminate nearby fields, ending crop diversity. While most corn is fed to cattle, wheat is consumed by people and GM wheat could put an end to organic bread products.

Alex Kirby writes in bbcnews that they haven’t given up completely. Monsanto’s Carl Casale says, “We will continue to monitor the wheat industry’s desire for crop improvements… to determine if and when it might be practical to move forward with a biotech wheat product.”
