Is this some kind of conspiracy?–because it’s happening again: Severed feet are washing up on the shores of British Columbia. A human foot washed up on a Washington State island Friday morning, raising the total number of feet found on beaches in that part of Canada since 2007 to a total of 9.

Speeding Up AND Slowing Down – The world works in mysterious ways: While Arctic sea ice has been diminishing in recent decades, ice in the Antarctic has been increasing slightly. Something strange is going on out there.

Researcher Jiping Liu says, “We wanted to understand this apparent paradox so that we can better understand what might happen to the Antarctic sea ice in the coming century with increased greenhouse warming.”

When we not using propane, we use charcoal, and it turns out that charcoal is one of the most ancient fuels around: It was first used by Cro-Magnon Man 38,000 years ago, meaning that it may have been the first synthetic material produced by humans. Besides cooking, they used it to create cave art.
