As temperatures in Siberia soar and drought stalks the vasttaiga, the danger that Siberian forest fires could become sohuge that the smoke threatens the climate of the entireplanet rises. The fires are set naturally, by ‘drylightning,’ and by illegal timber firms who sell cheaplumber to China.

The destruction to this forest is so great that 157 firesburning across the region in 2003 sent a plume of smokethree thousand miles across Japan. Atmospheric scientistslater detected smoke from the fires in Seattle.

The boreal forests of Siberia are essential to the health ofthe atmosphere, because the slow-growing trees absorb morecarbon dixoide than any other land-based area.

Newswise – About 20% of all nations in the world face a serious risk ofcivil war or governmental collapse, and a half dozen of themare at high risk of future mass genocides, according to anew report. The greatest risks are in Sub-Saharan Africa andthe Muslim world. Nearly half of the 161 nations studied arefacing serious threats that may require internationalaction. The “Peace and Conflict 2005” report writer RobertGurr says, “We are witnessing the end of the post-Soviet eraof conflict and the rise of a more globalized threat thattranscends borders.The strategies that worked so wellresolving dozens of bloody national conflicts over the past15 years may not be adequate to the emerging challenges.”

A fault has been discovered beneath the Los Angeles basinthat could generate an earthquake far more intense than hadpreviously been thought possible in the area. Expertsestimate that a magnitude 7.2 to 7.5 quake along the newlydiscovered Puente Hills fault could kill up to 18,000 peopleand leave hundreds of thousands homeless. The number ofinjured could exceed a quarter of a million.

The fault runs directly under Los Angeles County andproduces a major rupture approximately every 3,000 years. Itlast ruptured approximately 2,000 years ago.

Why aren’t we surprised that this happened in Las Vegas? Aman who claims that he has been using bible texts to calldown UFOs for years has apparently caused one to appear oncommand for a Las Vegas TV crew.

The stunned television personnel watched as ‘Prophet Yahweh”aka Ramon Watkins, raised his arms in prayer to Yahweh andpleaded with him, “show them that I’m not mentally ill.”Moments later, the crew filmed an excellent UFO sighting,with the craft manuevering in an impossible manner, thenheading off toward Nellis Air Force Base, then returning,only to disappear.

Unlike the prophet’s calls to his friends in the sky, the TVstation’s calls to Nellis went unanswered.
