Many vertebrate species (that category includes us) would have to evolve about 10,000 times faster than they have in the past to adapt to the rapid climate change expected in the next 100 years.

Scientists analyzed how quickly species adapted to different climates in the past, using data from 540 living species from all major groups of terrestrial vertebrates, including amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. They then compared their rates of evolution to rates of climate change projected for the end of this century.

One of the strangest cases in the British Ministry of Defense’s recent final release of UFO cases concerned a 17 year old boy who had been camping in Cardiff when he had witnessed 10 to 15 orange balls of light spirit his car away with his bulldog puppy inside. Neither the car nor the dog were ever seen again. If true, this improbable case would represent one of the few involving the abduction of a pet, and the only recorded incident of a car being permanently taken, although there have been cases where they have been moved, usually with the occupants inside.

Now the witness, Keith Robins, has come forward in support of his story, telling Wales Online that "I don’t know 100% what happened, but I’m going to believe it for the rest of my life."read more

A newly-discovered fourth-century fragment of papyrus may be the only existing ancient text quoting Jesus explicitly referring to having a wife.
Christian historian Karen King says the text contains a dialogue in which Jesus refers to"“my wife," whom he identifies as Mary. King says the fragment of Coptic script is a copy of a gospel, probably written in Greek in the second century.

According to King, "From the very beginning, Christians disagreed about whether it was better not to marry,” she said, “but it was over a century after Jesus’ death before they began appealing to Jesus’ marital status to support their positions."

Voyager I was launched 36 years ago and it speeds through space at the rate of about 38,000 miles an hour. As it passes the outer limits of the solar system, it seems to be entering a bizarre and mysterious region more than 11 billion miles from Earth that scientists are struggling to make sense of.

NASA says," It’s a region where the fierce solar winds have all but vanished and pieces of atoms blasted across the galaxy by ancient supernovae drift into the solar system." The NASA probe is causing scientists to question some long-standing theories on the nature of our solar system and life beyond its cold dark edge dubbed the "magnetic highway."
