They keep this information secret, so German Green party politician Malte Spitz whose carrier is the German company Deutsche-Telekom went to court to obtain his records, and the results are chilling: He found that he was being continually being tracked.

When Spitz went to court to find out exactly what his cell phone company knew about him, he found they had an incredible amount of information: In a six-month period, Deutsche Telekom had recorded and saved his travel coordinates more than 35,000 times.
