This image was taken in Christchurch, NZ on March 6 by a professional photographer. It could be a lens flare, but it is strange that a video of something similar was posted on YouTube by a different person on March 4 and reported on Out There on March 6. If these are both lens flares, it is a strange coincidence, but it seems impossible that a large heavenly body could be present without much more general observation, not to mention effects on the solar system.

Hard to be certain of this, but the objects don’t look like space debris. Graded A for authenticity of the video, not accuracy of the interpretation, which cannot be known.

What this may be is anybody’s guess. It is difficult to believe that an enormous object like this could be in our solar system without causing profound disruptions, not to mention a sensation among astronomers. What aren’t we seeing here?
