The announcement made today that the US Office of Special Council is investigating White House political activities is catastrophic for the Bush Administration and is widely believed on Capitol Hill to be the beginning of the end for George W. Bush.

If this investigation is conducted honestly, which will be to reveal that Karl Rove and others violated federal law by making political presentations to federal employees prior to the 2006 elections, it could lead to a White House meltdown on a scale not seen since the collapse of the Nixon Administration.

It is possible that the visitors are about to show up. I am not saying that this will happen, but only that this is a time when it could happen, and there are some indications that it may be about to happen.

The indications are these: First, the large number of UFO sightings around the world, capped most recently by a report that there is an active UFO on the ground in southern Somalia. Is this report true? So far, it has not been possible to follow up, and probably the only way to get confirmation would be from a US military satellite, and we can forget that. Second, the sudden upsurge in official and semi-official statements, with the latest being Gov. Fife Symington’s reiteration on Good Morning America this morning that he had seen a UFO.

The past six months have been the most astonishing period of change in the whole history of the UFO phenomenon. Not since the early fifties have there been so many and such extensive sightings, and never with such a level of official support for the reality of the phenomenon.

To just touch on a few highlights, there have been extensive sightings in many parts of the world, with large numbers of reports out of the UK and, especially, Iran. The United States has had the extraordinary O’Hare Airport sighting, among others.

But it is not just the sightings that are changing things, it is the disintegration of the UFO coverup.
