Last October I published a journal entry that asked the question, ?will 2003 be the year of the alien?? I asked this question for a number of reasons, the chief one of which was that Mars is going to make its closest approach to earth in over 70,000 years this summer, and Mars oppositions have in the past usually been periods of peak UFO activity.

Since May, I have been watching the UFO reports carefully, and I have seen an increase in recent months. On Thursday, June 5, Unknowncountry.com published a news story about the increase in the number of cases, and the unusual quality of some of these cases, which have involved very close approaches to some witnesses.

There is no Planet X–not at least, in the apocalypse- producing form that has been claimed for the past few years.

Nancy Leider, the voice of Zeta-Talk, has been saying for some time that this mythical monster was going to make a close pass on May 15, and wreak holy hell on earth. From her remarks on Coast to Coast AM on Friday, April 25, 2003, my impression is that she’s apparently putting back the date of its arrival and saying that it won?t be as big a deal as she had originally been led to believe. She implied that the aliens she claims to channel have misled her for unknown reasons.

Nancy Leider has been the victim of a kind of millennialism that strikes many close-encounter witnesses. I know it well: it struck me, too.

This journal entry was originally posted on April 8. A few days later, I received some emails asking why I had deleted it. I did not realize that I had done this. I’ve revised it slightly to reflect the changing situation in Iraq, but the warning it contains is, if anything, even more valid now than it was before the fall of Baghdad.

The United States and the world rest uncomfortably on a razor?s edge. At the present time, practically everything that appears to be going right is actually going wrong. On the surface, all is well. Just beneath it, there is an abyss.

Sudden Acute Respiratory Distress has reached Houston. Presumably it will be in San Antonio soon. Because of scarring to my lungs when I was young, I am apt to be very seriously threatened by this illness, so it is a matter of great concern for me. We have stopped going to parties, movies, anything that involves a gathering. I won?t say that we?re scared, but we are being very cautious. I think that anybody who comes down with a sudden high fever should certainly seek medical attention immediately. I know that I will.
