Ancient and Modern UFOs in Africa, with Professor Tim Murithi

Professor Tim Murithi in this interview explains how Africa has always been a central part of the UFO encounter phenomenon.

Murithi is an internationally respected advocate for peace, a member of the Society for UAP Studies, and an affiliate of the International Coalition for Extraterrestrial Research, or ICER. He is also head of the Peacebuilding Interventions Programme at the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation in Cape Town, South Africa, as well as the Extraordinary Professor of African Studies, at the Centre for African and Gender Studies, University of the Free State, also in South Africa.

Murithi has more than 25 years of experience in the fields of peace, security, international justice, governance, and development, and has become an avid scholar of the UAP phenomenon, African folkloric connections to UAP, and the global politics of disclosure.

We discuss UFO history in Africa, including the rather prescient scientific knowledge of the Dogon Tribe, E.T.-related Egyptian myths, and the Ariel School event in Zimbabwe, including  its investigation by Harvard psychiatrist Dr. John Mack. We drill down on how knowledge that we are not alone may impact the state of our struggling world. Finally, we explore the need for a truth-and-reconciliation movement — such as the one deployed in South Africa to end apartheid — to finally break through what UFO scholar Richard Dolan calls “the truth embargo.”

  1. This was a wonderful conversation, and Professor Murithi is person after my own heart on this topic. He is exactly the type of human being that I wish to see leading the charge, along with others with a similar intelligence and heartfelt mind-set to represent us. People like Murithi and the late Jane Goodall are the type of communicators that the world needs to take us forward at this time, open us up to positive possibilities without fear, and a hopeful outlook regarding UFO/UAPs and NHI, and humanity’s place in the Cosmos. 🙏

  2. Trigger warning: this comment begins with a western, eurocentric, rationalist rant. I found that there were too many generalities on this show, and many of these generalities were memes that are repeated over and over on the internet.

We had the obligatory mention of quantum theory, which is going to explain UFOs and paranormal phenomena anytime soon even though it is by now an old theory (next year we’ll celebrate the 100th anniversary of Schrödinger’s equation) and it hasn’t explained any of this stuff yet. On top of that, we also had fractals and string theory. Just so you know, there is zero experimental evidence for string theory and it appears more clearly every year that this line of research is a dead end. The preeminence of string theory has been a big waste of time and ressources for theoretical physics. Some conspiratorially inclined commentators will even tell you that this was on purpose. More to the point, even if string theory turns out to be correct, the extra dimensions predicted by this theory are all “curled up” – they are extremely tiny, which is the reason why we cannot see them, so there is no room there to hide extraterrestrials.

We also had the meme of “free energy”. It is quite possible that some of the crafts rely on a source of energy that we do not know about. But why would the energy source be “free”? This is repeated over and over on the internet, often (always?) without any evidence or even the beginning of an argument. On top of that, we had the obligatory conspiracy by big corporations to suppress this knowledge. But this is contrary to all historical evidence: humanity has used many different energy sources over time, and no conspiracy has ever prevented a new source to become known and be used. Also, new energy sources are usually added to the old ones, they often do not replace them.

I could go on, but to end with a more positive note: I do agree that having an African perspective on this topic is a good thing; my main quibble is that there wasn’t enough of it on the show! If the guest comes back, it would be good if he can get into the details of specific cases – we do not often hear about any of those, except of course for the famous Ariel school case. If there is enough reliable material, why not talk more for example on the encouters of the Dogons with the E.T.s from Sirius, or on the alleged reptilian bases?

    1. Agreed that there was too much generic Eurocentric content, and not nearly enough new and specific African content. I was hoping to hear about a unique perspective that could provide a currently unknown or overlooked insight into the phenomenon.
I know Africa is a vast and diverse continent, and to hear so much of the same stuff we’re already hearing from a Western perspective was disappointing.
