Dynamite show.
I’m always pleased to listen to Paul being interviewed and regularly watch his streams.
When Paul relates strange goings on in that part of North Yorkshire let me assure you that he is bang on the money.
I’m very familiar with the North York Moors National Park and I can tell you now there is NO way on this Earth I would go up there alone at night.
I almost stayed overnight once in a long lay-by between Scarborough and Whitby but because of the local reports and legends, coupled with personal experiences in other parts of the country I, frankly, chickened out, carrying on to Middlesbrough to spend the night. Thoughts of getting out of the camper to take a whizz and getting snatched in the dead of night were too much for me. No way José..
There seems to be some kind of life-form capable, in my opinion, of shape-shifting on the loose around there and I value my own skin too much to ever risk being taken. My instinct tells me that Paul’s discussions about ‘things’ emerging from the sea are connected with these infernal shapeshifters and while it’s a fascinating topic, it’s also very frightening and likely dangerous.
10/10 for this discussion and yes, perfect for Halloween weekend. Bravo!
This is the scariest criptid encounter I have ever heard…

I know exactly the area you mentioned.
Von Hausenburg , I live in East Yorkshire and the legendary stories that I have heard since I was a child about the North Yorkshire Moors are graven into the collective psyche of folk around here .
Once on the moor top our family car broke down on the way to Redcar . My Dad set off alone to find a red phone box to call the AA , leaving me ages 8 my Mother and younger sister in the vehicle . As dusk fell , 3 strange figures loomed from the rising mist . Tall strangely dressed with what looked like some kind of swords in their hands .
We was very spooked and my Mother made sure the doors were locked .
As they approached in the gloom , we realised they were 3 fishermen who were returning from fishing trip , carrying their equipment .
They never stopped or tapped on the windows , we were so unnerved we never considered asking them for assistance .
Soon after Dad arrived back in a tow truck . We must have looked rather pale faced 😅
So interesting to hear your take on this!
Frances, as a fellow Brit I could relate other UK related stories but, at the end of the day, we should conclude this to be normal life.
Paul Sinclair is effing brilliant. Totally dedicated to his vocation, and it is a hidden vocation; he lights up hidden paths, giving us a chance to count to ten and try to observe.
Frances, I am in a strange part of my life. I just took a three moth sabbatical and churned away creatively, working on the next release but deep down I yearned to be back in Yorkshire and following Paul’s werewolf track. I’m not currently brave enough to dare that path alone and in its entirety. This is the real edge and I know it watches us back.
If you know that lay-by then let’s talk. That whole area is just off the coast and I will tell you now, if you camp overnight in that lay-by I am convinced that you will be visited.
Peace, everyone. Let’s see how we can move forward.
Berg.
Yer , I totally believe that something unusual goes on up there .
It’s eerie even in daytime , so quiet and if you stroll from the path among the heather out of sight of the road , a fluttering panic takes hold , a feeling that you’ve stepped out of time and place .
A family friend once waded into some clumps of heather and proceeded to take some cuttings ( definitely forbidden ) for her garden . There wasn’t another soul about .
As she bent over , a stern voice spoke behind her , saying ” you can’t do that up here ” . After jumping out of her skin , she looked round and lo behold , a park warden dressed in a green uniform was looming over her . She dropped the heather , went blood red with embarrassment and picked up her rucksack .
The man walked off and seemed to disappear , there was no vehicle nearby , only her own .
God knows where he sprung from
Excellent comments everyone. Also…Sherbet UFO…I did watch the interview you posted and found it most unsettling/scary.
So glad that other people (Paul & Whitley et.al.) understand that the cryptoids can pass between parallel worlds totally natural like a dog has superior hearing where we do not. The validation makes me happy !!
(45:30 in the podcast)
Their ability to slip between worlds is NATURAL !!!!! That’s why we do not find bodies and graves and skeletons etc. You will never come upon a group in a cave.
Just like the Book and guest a while back who wrote “Under the Owl Moon” a great book btw.
I’m glad that Sinclair mentioned Skinwalker Ranch, a place with similar activity. After many years of looking at all this, I feel that the place, as well as the experiencer, somehow creates a catalyst leading to high strangeness. The ‘veils are thin’ in certain locations, and I saw it in my old neighborhood, but not so much where I am now. Dimensions overlay one another too.
Years ago I was having lunch on my patio, when my dog began barking and chasing something in the yard. I saw Jessie and nothing else. Finally, to get some peace,I went back into the house, bringing her with me. She quieted down briefly, then went into the next room and began barking again. She was at the window ledge, I went in there…and there was something outside, right outside the window, digging around the dog house. It was otter-like, had brown fur, and perfectly round pink ears! I quickly ran to get my camera, but in less than a couple of minutes the creature disappeared and the dog stopped barking. I researched what I saw and could find nothing that looked like that critter anywhere. I know animals in Texas, and the creature was not from here, nor could I find anything like it anyplace else in the world.
We had other strange things happen right outside that window, and at least once my partner and I were both witnesses. So…there was something about the environs around our house, and also that spot in particular.
Paul Sinclair is always a fascinating guest!
Oh my goodness! Did it leave any tracks, or marks from digging? Or just disappear without a trace?
The idea of cryptids having the natural ability to pop in and out from some other plane of existence makes so much sense.
I have never seen a strange critter like that in the physical world, but I have “almost seen” some. That is, they were in a definite location in physical space, and more than one person could agree on where they appeared to be and what shape and color they were, but we could only see them with our “mind’s eyes,” as mental impressions.
One such critter was a purple dragon hovering in my office. I don’t know how I knew it was purple, since I couldn’t see it, but it was definitely purple…. My friend who pointed it out to me sees such things fairly often, and is of the opinion that they are very real, but they’re real in a place slightly removed from our usual world.
Not that I understand any of this.
Being from only a few miles south of this area, I find it fascinating. The area is indeed very mystical.
I really enjoyed listening to Paul’s accent and his whole manner of speaking. Best wishes to the Yorkshire folk who are here!
Thanks 🙏
