Mark Booth returns to Dreamland for one of the strangest shows we have ever recorded.
Mark’s new book, The Secret History of the Universe, explores an ancient idea now reappearing at the edges of modern physics: that consciousness may be more fundamental than matter, and that the universe itself may be permeated by intelligence. Mark and Whitley follow this possibility into some extraordinary territory—quantum physics, mystical experience, the nature of nonhuman intelligence, Wolfgang Pauli and Carl Jung, the mysterious fine-structure constant, and the possibility that mathematical truths exist independently of the physical universe.
Then the conversation takes a darker turn.
What happens when the strange forces discovered in quantum physics are amplified by human technology? Mark examines the Manhattan Project, Jack Parsons and the occult origins surrounding JPL, Operation Paperclip, artificial intelligence, and the disturbing possibility that modern science has unknowingly crossed boundaries once approached through magic and mysticism.
And just as Mark and Whitley begin discussing black magic and its possible influence on American science, the recording itself starts behaving very strangely. Mark can be heard on the recording—but Whitley can no longer hear him. The interview has to be stopped and resumed days later.
As we emerge into the greater universe, is something very dark trying to stop us??

It appears the low/high quality MP3 download buttons are swapped.
I have interracted with Booth on Substack and also in the past on another platform. The things that you two discussed brought to mind so many things to me, I can’t even begin to go into them.
First off, I found it very odd that I heard Booth just fine, but Whitley could not.
I agreed with so much that was said, based on my own experiences, and when magic and the Manhattan Project were discussed, I immediately thought of Vallee and Harris’s ‘Trinity’. Trinity predated Roswell, and one has wonder if the testing of the destructive power of the atom opened a portal that probably should not have been opened. Yes, that technology ‘magic’ may have helped bring an end to WWII, but at what cost going forward? The result was the rise of a new world power, the USA. The way things are playing out right now for the nation and the world does not bode well for us. There are still many good people in our country and the world, but is that enough?
Cosmic…. I am wondering the same thing about splitting the atom and did it open the door to our ultimate destruction that cannot be stopped?
I agree Cosmic. There are dimensions as Whitley’s quote indicated, that these bombs are seriously impacting. The danger is much greater than the physical realm.
I love this man’s accent. I felt like I was listening to Winston Churchill! I have a few things to add to the dark side part, about Parsons/JPL (I hated it when the series Strange Angel was cancelled just as L Ron showed up, but not surprised), and the evolution of tech in the second half of the 20th as a merger with the new military industrial complex. Skipping through the narcissism of 1950’s meth-head, childhood trauma victim Rand’s influence on those early Silicon innovators to a cult level (naming their children after her) trying to create a thinking machine that would run the world without the need for government and laws, the late “summer of love” influence on the late 60s/early 70s tech innovators and their use of recreational drugs (Leary) to spawn the idea of the internet of things and how wonderful that could be for humanity,I want to add the part about the silicon embraced nihilistic philosophy/religion of Accelerationism that was spawned in the mid-90s by Nick Land at a University in England doing Crowley’s Ritual of the Lesser Pentagram, which is about bringing forth the demon, in Crowley’s mind to make the new human (“mankind”), the next stage of our evolution. You can see the elements of Crowley’s premise simply put in his poem “The Pentagram.” Land was a weird posthumous Crowley protege, like Parsons, seemingly channeling Crowley’s plan. But, there is such a strong Paradise Lost type of hubris associated with it, that one cannot see it only as a modern idea in spite of the tech, as the author and interviewer here so aptly observe. Meaning, Crowley, Parsons, and Land (hugely influential on the tech culture, I mean to add before: look up “philosopher” Curtis Yarvin’s bizarre amalgamation of Libertarianism and Accelerationism). Now, Sam Altman has created a cult of AI, and that is not an exaggeration (see Karen Hao’s recent book Empire of AI) and a feudal oligarchy with colonization of ideology enforced in a way that would make the medieval Church proud. I did an overview of these threads in an academic presentation that is on you tube, posted by an organization that hosted it; however I did not get into my personal ideas of the supernatural stuff like I feel like I can do here. I do touch on it for those who can see the implications. I would add one thing here and that is regarding the topic of war, that the trauma and blood feeds those energy vampires among us. This is nowhere more evident that in the ancient myths of the deity Moloch, who preferred child sacrifice to ensure his aid in battle. I think of that “accidental” bombing of the school of girls on the first day of the Iran invasion. . . by their tool of AI, their hope for embodiment in an upgraded form sans spirit. This leads to another part of their trinity, Transhumanism, another drive that equates to religious zeal by these fanatics. Immortality, the quest of heroes they have been emulating as gamers growing up in their virtual worlds that they wan to make literal even as they destroy this one. My presentation is called “The Return of the Creator Gods” because my studies of myth and folklore put me on this nefarious trail, that and my Grail knight ancestors and demon hunter genes. . . speaking of myths and legends.
These great physicists of the past century were profound in stepping us out of a pre-quantum reality, but they had many things very wrong! In Nature there are no such things as Euclidean ‘square’ space, linear time, or Constants. Such ideas are very useful in day to day life, but do not describe ‘reality’.

They were quite aware that there was no linear time, etc.
I can only say that if you can make more sense out of the universe than Einstein, Bohr, Pauli, Heisenberg, Penrose, Bell, Schrödinger, Von Neumann, and their cohorts, well, go for it.
Read the Substack.
They did not understand cyclic overlapping non-linear time.
I also want to state, as my substacks show and even present a test scenario to prove: the speed of light ‘c’ has been hard coded as a constant that it is not! The fine structure constant depends on ‘c’ being a constant and therefore it is not a constant either. Nature has no constants and no Euclidean space (though both are useful within specific conditions).
The physicists of a hundred years ago were brilliant and I have complete respect for them, but it is time for the next phase. Same with archeologists. Same with UAP skeptics with ‘Its too far, they couldn’t get here Luddite arguments.
Change the permativity and the speed of light changes. Ball lighting research shows this.
Shout out to Steve.
It never ceases to surprise me how you can advanced forwards at times in terms of your clarity and the ability to reach outside of normal awareness and yet, slightly down the road another Force seems to reach out and pull you back.
I have wondered if this is an indication of elements of consciousness that are married and helping each other in ways that aren’t initially obvious.
One other, minor point, just minor, no biggie, look away, it’s fine but….
Well, the USA is slowly being transformed into an Islamic Republic right before your eyes. Libertarians and ‘non-partisans’ champion the advance of free speech, of ‘freedom’..
So many ‘non-partisans’ speak about ‘freedom’ and ‘liberty’ and then happily ‘import problems’. In the next breath they will point fingers at ‘naive reactionaries’ and ‘unresolved biases’ and claim that conquest is not happening.. They state that they ‘ARE NOT ENTRAINED’..
I have my popcorn…
Right?
People have both eyes and an ability to assess history and the likelihood of probable outcome.
Peace out..
