Jim Marrs on Fiat Currencies and the Plot to Destroy Our Wealth

This amazing, important and prophetic Dreamland featuring the great Jim Marrs (1943-2017) originally ran on September 4, 2010. For July 4, 2025 we reprise it with a commentary from Whitley Strieber that brings it frighteningly up to date.

In 2010, Jim published a devastating book called The Trillion Dollar Conspiracy, and you will never forget the information you will get from this fiery, impassioned interview about it. Listen as Jim lays it out: there are no real political parties. It’s all an illusion. And worse, the people waiting in the wings to replace the incumbents are at least as bad and probably worse. Why? The reason is simple: as Jim points out, Prince Philip, one of the leaders of the global establishment said, if he could be reincarnated after he died, he would want to come back as a deadly virus that would solve the population problem.

And who is that problem? Not the folks in the limousines, you can be sure. YOU are the problem, and you need to take action to save yourselves and your children.

Listen and find out not only what’s wrong, but what we can do to save ourselves from an elite that is out of touch, out of control and, frankly, just plain out to lunch.

  1. OH, PULLEASE!

I so look forward to Dreamland every week. I mean, it’s really a highlight of the week for me, and I feel like my subscription payments are among the best $ I ever spend. What a disappointment to see this here today, the day after Trump and the GOP sold our country down the river.

Sometimes things at Dreamland go off the rails a bit, but I don’t expect to find such paranoia and pathetically outdated crazy theories as this.

No political parties??? The difference between our major parties has certainly become much sharper since 2010. It’s not the Democrats who are killing people in Africa by taking away their AIDS medications, for just one example. It’s not Democrats who are destroying small businesses and impoverishing their owners and employees through insane and useless tariff policies.

Who is “plotting to destroy our wealth”? It’s pretty obvious, and it’s not by any means everybody who’s been in power in the US government. It’s very one-sided.

I think we can all agree that there is a class of extremely wealthy humans who are trying to run everything and get everything they can for themselves. We are seeing the effects more dramatically than ever lately. But not all politicians, not even all wealthy businesspeople are on board with that, not remotely.

And blaming any of this on the existence of fiat currency is way out there. Next you’ll be telling us to declare ourselves sovereign citizens.

I looked up reviews of the book discussed here. Typical conspiracy crap from that time shows up. Rants about the “New World Order,” now an antiquated term, and vaccines. Apparently Marrs even believes that bipolar disorder is not a real illness– as a clinician of 30+ years experience I can tell you very differently.

And characterizing the very moderate Obama as a socialist– HA HA HA HA– do Americans have any concept of what socialism actually is? I mean, these days, if there’s the slightest hint of actually helping ordinary people in a bill, Republicans yell about socialism! And to top it off, Marrs QUESTIONS OBAMA’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE. At that point, anything he’s said that could be taken seriously is overshadowed.

OK, I’ll shut up now, and go look up one of the many more worthwhile vintage Dreamlands I haven’t yet listened to. Happy Fourth, all.

      1. I Agree, too! I met Jim and even danced with him at one of the dreamland conventions! l liked and respected him, but some of this is just too off the rails! Especially with what’s happening now! but I do love the idea of going into the history base! I’ve been listening since I discovered Whitley again on Dreamland since 2006, been a subscriber for most of the time since then.

    1. Well, as a Brit I am quite happy to listen to Jim Marrs talk about the elites’ potential ‘plans for the plebs’.

Let’s hope Monday (7/7/25) passes without incident especially as the Brics summit starts on the 6th.

The Earth is heavy with people, I’d be astonished, absolutely astonished, if the elite don’t in fact have plans in place to ‘reset’ balances.

Thanks for posting this show; I too believe it to be timely.

      Peace.

  2. There is a trap that one can easily fall into once we have rzalized that a particular conspiracy theory (for instance, the UFO cover up) is in fact true. This trap is, of course, believing that eacha and every co.spiracy theory is true.

  3. I met Jim Marrs at the first Dreamland Festival. He was much more than a ‘conspiracy theorist’. He was the real deal, extremely intelligent, and a fellow Texan, and I own several of his best-selling books…that are full of sources and actual facts. I also got to know him in the years before his passing via email correspondence, discussing some things I was seeing that were exactly what he described was going on.

Back in 2016, I contacted one of the producers of ‘Ariel Phenomenon’ regarding what the children of Ariel School had seen in Zimbabwe. In Marrs book, ‘Alien Agenda’ (published in 2000) he discussed an alleged alien base in Zimbabwe reported by a remote viewer, which I thought was more than coincidence. I passed that information on to the producer who was not aware of the ‘underground’ alien base, but allowed, “Mt. Nyangani in Zimbabwe is reported to be a place where people disappear but I hadn’t heard about the UFO base or the remote viewer. I definitely will look more into that! ”

The things said in this vintage ‘Dreamland’ may be off-putting for the things that are said—maybe because they hit so close to home to what is happening now. Like Whitley in this interview, I am non-partisan and an independent voter, as I’ve always been.

I would also advise that those who are in doubt about things said in the interview take a detailed look at the ‘big, beautiful bill’ just passed in the last few days and see who benefits the most from its passage.

  4. Hearing Marrs bring up the old trope of Obama’s birth certificate and the other ones he used, is so disappointing. I really thought of the possibility that Whitley’s Dreamland was being hacked in an effort discredit him. Others in the wider community have experienced this effort in one way or another. Could we hold this view as a possibility? It really doesn’t fit with Whitley’s stated beliefs.

  5. Whitley does not stick to his ‘beliefs’ when it comes to his guests. That’s not who he is. His beliefs are his own, but he is willing to talk to a wide variety of people, and also be as fair as possible. He’s not here to challenge their ‘beliefs’. He has interesting people with things to say and he does ask great questions. Jim Marrs (now deceased) was quirky, and I can tell you that Whitley did not sit in judgement of him. As with ALL people, we must separate the wheat from the chaff with each individual. I did not agree with Marrs on everything, but, boy, he did go where others wouldn’t dare! He wrote ‘The Rise of the 4th Reich’ years ago, and it’s more relevant now than when he wrote it.

One of the problems today, and it’s a big one, is that so many seem to shut out opposing views entirely. Politics, spirituality, whatever, few are willing to just listen to opposing points of view. This can even involve family members, and that’s a shame. My dad and I had totally opposing political views, and we had some tiffs over it, which were perfectly ok to do. But…we loved, liked, and respected each other until the day he died.
    Sherbet…right on.

  6. I miss those days. Jim was such a good story teller, reeling one in with tantalizing bits that he wove together in the way he did. Made me think that things were not always the way they first appeared. Was he right or not? I’ll never know.
Jim Marrs died of a heart attack in 2017.
    Or did he?

  7. Waste of my time! Climate is in cascading collapse. Extraordinary times require extraordinary focus. Thinking in terms of seven human generations, or what the state of humanity will be in 140 year is extremely complex, with the influx of technology, but as of now, we are accelerating toward a brick wall of the laws of nature.

    1. True enough, yet suggest that not everyone may have children and you are called all sorts. We must confront social and environmental responsibility by making sacrifices.

The Greta Blunderbergs (she’s related to the Rothschilds btw) of this World rattle on about carbon threats yet I bet she still wants as many kids as she chooses, plus a washing machine and a vacuum cleaner.

In my opinion community councils should decide who is allowed to exercise such things. Anything less is pure self and self is carbon.

While I’m not being completely serious, I invite discussion in this area.

  8. Very interesting. I have been hearing similar things from other podcasters I listen to. Can’t believe he was talking about this back in 2010.
Thank you Whitley. Love your show!

  9. Many of the above posters miss the point entirely. People get very emotional when their beliefs in a religion or political parties, politics, economics are challenged in their own mind.
Actually, Whitley is very wise, and I hope he continues with this once a month. By the way, may I humbly recommend the following book: Wheeler, Raymond H. – Climate: The Key To Understanding Business Cycles

  10. Whitley, have you heard of this author?

  11. I’ve only listened to 14 minutes so far. I’m kind of put off by it, but I’ll see it through to the end and try to separate the wheat from the chaff.
