The Dendera Light Mystery Solved: Watch It Work!

Screenshot

The mysterious objects depicted on the walls of the Temple of Hathor in Dendera have been a source of speculation in the western world ever since they were discovered. Conventional archaeology assumes that they were ritual objects and not what they appear to be, which are lights of some kind. Now engineer William Sosa has created replicas that work as the original objects must have done. Listen as he explains his process, then watch the actual lights he has built around the Dendera design as he actually turns them on. These were NOT lightbulbs and they were not ritual objects. They were devices with deeply mysterious origins and purposes.

  1. From The Key:

“What did you mean when you said our civilization would follow its own past?”
What was here beore you was very great. It uncovered the secret to which you are blind, the secret of communion with the dead. It began to be ale to use intelligent energy in its technology. To use souls as tools. Look at the carvings at Dendera in Egypt. Those strange objects in the containers are not electrical filaments or religious symbols. Those are souls. The walls of the containers bear an electrical charge of a type that imprisons them.

    1. exactly what I thought of listening to this show.
Sosa struggled to say what the egyptians used the ‘bulb’ for. I doubt it was just proof for a philosophical theory which is mostly how he frames it. That’s okay though. It’s a remarkable act of recreation anyway. Something of value will come of it.

  2. Get two identical colonies of fruit flies (or some other test subjects) and leave one under it and the other in a different room and see which lives longer.

    1. It’s very interesting that Sosa has built these devices, and intriguing that they seem to have an effect on the human body. Perhaps they will turn out to have some therapeutic use. I use electromagnetic therapy devices in my own medical practice, so that seems possible to me. As Sunbow suggested, one might do experiments with animals or plants being exposed to the devices.

So much is wrong here, though. I don’t see that there is any “mystery solved.” There is a device that’s been built, based on a lot of speculation. Major red flags waved at me as I was listening to the show.

I don’t understand why a person who is an expert with electricity– or had taken high school chemistry– would be surprised that positive ions exist. I also don’t know why such a person would not know how to pronounce the word “anion” and would make it sound rather like “onion.” Yet Sosa does build electrical stuff. This is a glaring contradiction and it’s bugging me a lot.

Sosa stated that he hadn’t known what the hieroglyphics above the “bulb” images meant for a long time. Hieroglyphs are well understood and getting a translation should have been trivial. If he was trying to understand the images, why didn’t he start there? Wouldn’t the words be crucial?

Not that I would always recommend Wikipedia as a source, but it provided a quick look at the translated texts. Here is one of them:
‘Words spoken by Harsomtus [a god in snake form], the great God, who dwells in Dendera, who is in the arms of those at the prow in the Mesketet-night-barge, noble cobra, under whose Khenty-statue is Heh, whose crew carries in holiness [his] perfection, whose Ba caused the Rising [woman] to rise in the sky, whose form is revered by his followers, who comes in solitude, encircled by his Mehen-uraeus, countless of names at the front of Khu-en-sen, the power of Ra in the land of Atum (Dendera), the father of the Gods, who created that which exists.’
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendera_light

I don’t know Egyptian religion well enough to understand all that, but it sounds to me like a rather typical religious utterance.

Various sources connect the bulb shapes with the womb of Nut, which seems plausible. (One might also speculate about the connection between Hathor as an earth goddess and Nut as a sky goddess, but I am not qualified to do so.)

Just one more thing about the bulb shapes. Sosa seems to believe or imply that the relative sizes of the bulbs in the images and the humans mean that there were gigantic glass bulbs made at some time in the ancient past. But relative sizes have to do with the relative importance of figures within Egyptian art pieces, NOT their actual physical sizes. For example, pharaohs were depicted as large and slaves as small. We can’t infer anything about the size of an object in the physical world by looking at these images.

Anyway, this has been fascinating to begin to learn about, and I look forward to learning more about the Dendera temple.

      1. Hey Elene, You know what they say, “Never pick on a person who mispronounces words, it shows they read.”…

Regarding Anions and Cations. I am quite familiar with chemistry and electricity. The surprise I had with the mercury bulb, was seeing the effects that the negative electric charge, of my hand, had on the mercury plasma. That was unexpected, because most books that I have on plasma (and I have plenty) tend to leave out any information on negative plasma, in general. The speak of removing (or ripping away) an electron from the valence bands, like it is the only way to ionize something. Even now, it has been an uphill battle for me to explain the difference to people who should know, people who build plasma tubes for a living. So I would caution you against assuming ‘facts, not yet in evidence’. I do this work as a hobby, in my spare time.

I do appreciate your feedback, seriously. Cheers…

  3. Fascinating. I do wish we were mature enough (and trusting enough) as a society, to share these findings with other (well known) scientists/engineers/etc., as a means of elevating the profile of the work.

  4. This is exciting in ways hard for me to explain…with my one-fingered typing, I’ll do my best. I actually wish that I could speak to Whitley about this. So…I’ll just do a summary, knowing full well that people may not understand what I’m saying, and thinking that I’m off my rocker. I even had a difficult time explaining this to my partner. If I sound crazy and off the wall, so be it.

    1. I am very familiar with Dendera and the ‘light bulb’ idea, which I never bought into. To give you an idea of where I’m heading, years ago I wanted to start a website about spiritual technology. Due to time and circumstances, I did not get there, plus things changed for me physically.

    2. The ‘bulbs’ are a very small part of the whole picture of the Temple of Dendera, which was in honor of Hathor, a very important deity in the Egyptian pantheon. I’ll leave it to you all to find out more about Hathor…who goes back about 5000 years (or more).

    3. Chris Bledsoe. His experiences are something else! ‘Hathor’ plays a large part in those experiences, as do orbs. White Buffalo Woman, as well as other feminine ‘energies’ are aspects of Hathor, depending on culture.

I feel that this plasma energy is an important part of nature and creation… as is the soul. Perhaps orb manifestation is another way that this plasma can be utilized, and maybe the ancient Egyptians understood this. I’ve seen orbs myself, understood a consciousness behind them, but never quite understanding their manifesting as they do, or why. This talk gave me some clues.

The people of (very) ancient Egypt were so far ahead of us in many ways, and to get more insight, that isn’t a huge read, Stephen Mehler’s ‘From Light into Darkness’ is a good place to start. They were enlightened in many ways, an enLIGHTenment that was lost, but remembered in the Temple of Hathor at Dendera.

So much more…but I’ll leave it at that.

    1. CL, I always find your ideas and experiences extremely interesting.

There are so many manifestations of that feminine energy, and they often do show up as if they are actual people or individual goddesses. I don’t begin to understand that but I’ve encountered it.

I don’t know what orbs are or why they do what they do but I’ve seen them around some people, or at least so it seemed.

Professionally I work with Qi (some here may spell it Chi) day in and day out, I see human bodies as basically electromagnetic entities, and I love the idea of filaments connecting all parts of the universe. Metaphorically and perhaps in some physical way I think that’s the case– rather like the galactic mycelium in Star Trek: Discovery.

HOWEVER, the Electric Universe idea does not match with observation, does not include a coherent mathematical framework, and does not make testable predictions that actually work out.

What makes much more sense is the idea of the Dendera “bulbs” representing Egyptian religious cosmological concepts. Similar images show up in other Egyptian art, where they don’t necessarily look so much like technological objects.

  5. I mean no offense but the “electric instead of gravity” people are hard to listen to. Reminds me of Dan Winter.

But I listened to the whole thing and I will think about it.

    Thank you for the show

    1. Andy1111, if you want more detail on Sosa’s work, go here:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEKwkY_G0PM

Years ago, I followed a website called ‘Thunderbolts’ that was all about the electric universe, so I’ve always kept some of their ideas in the back of my mind, with Sosa’s ideas did not seeming out of the realm of possibility. As with so much, we don’t know what we don’t know.

    2. They’re hard to listen to because, frankly, their ideas are nuts. They don’t match observations of the actual known universe.

I don’t mean any offense either, and I love and respect Whitley and the folks here, but I wouldn’t be helping anything if I went along with something that makes no sense.

Here is one small aspect of what’s wrong with the Electric Universe concept. When I listened to the show Sosa’s comments about comets immediately stood out to me as having little connection with reality. This is why, in part:
‘But we have measured electric fields in the solar wind and in the vicinity of comets.  Solar wind models combined with spacecraft models enable satellite designers to estimate spacecraft charging as they move through plasmas.  Because discharges can kill the satellite electronics, knowledge of these conditions is vital to success of the missions.’

      1. As I said, we don’t know what we don’t know…which is a lot!
Right now, we know of four fundamental forces: Gravity, electromagnetism, the strong nuclear force and the weak nuclear force. Gravity is weaker than electromagnetism. Some things “not making sense” is normal, and often leads to some new discoveries about how the Universe works, which is why we explore. (How reality works is a whole different ball of wax.)

‘The Emerald Tablets of Thoth’ (Hermetic texts) have been a source of controversy for a very long time, but worth reading. Did someone have a wild imagination and make it all up, or were they based on things/memories of our distant past? If one ‘believes’ any of it, it might explain Sosa’s ideas, and writings/symbolism of the Egyptians as a post Atlantean civilization. I try not to ‘believe’, but speculate based on science, mythology, and the innate power of creativity, which Sosa has in spades.

The Egyptian civilization de-volved over the centuries, in ways not dis-similar to us today. It was already de-volving when the Temple of Dendera was built (During the Ptolemaic period…the Ptolemys were Greeks.)The fact that so much Epyptian culture lasted as long as it did is amazing…about 3,000 years.

Some experts have thought of the ‘bulbs’ at Dendera as representing the Womb of Nut, the Mother of the Cosmos. The snake-like being inside that ‘womb’ might have represented a child-god that symbolized the creation of the world from primordial ‘matter’. Even those ideas give some credence to what Sosa has come up with (‘Let there be light’.)

        I find it all fascinating.

        1. There will always be a tremendous amount that we don’t know, but there is a great deal that we DO know about gravity, comets, etc., and the Electric Universe concept is simply not compatible with it. Facts is facts.

I will look into the Emerald Tablets of Thoth. Sounds fascinating.

Good point that the Temple of Dendera comes from very late in Egyptian history and during a time when the Greeks were ruling the place. It’s astonishing how long Egyptian culture endured with not all that much change compared to European and US civilization in the past couple thousand years. Yet things did shift at times.

I referred to the womb of Nut in one of my comments above. Here is a source with photos of other depictions of a bulb-like shape with the serpent inside, considered to be Nut:
          https://www.thearchaeologist.org/blog/what-the-light-bulb-relief-means-at-the-dendera-temple

This shape is also a hieroglyph, the article says.

Note the translation I pasted in above, which refers directly to that child-god, Harsomtus, who could be represented as a snake.

This article also discusses the Djed pillar, which looks like something electronic but apparently is not meant to be that at all.

      2. Hey Elene, before I respond, in general, to your Electric Universe remarks, I would like to begin with comets. What do you know about about comets? What is your current understanding of the nature of comets? Your feedback will help me in my rebuttal. Cheers…

Ps, My background is Electronics Technician, Software Engineer and Lost Ancient Technology Researcher. I am an intuitive, with a talent for solving tough puzzles. Cheers…

        1. William Sosa, I so enjoyed this interview and hope to see you again for another one. I think you have a mind that explodes with creativity/ideas.

          1. Hey Carol Lee, Thank you. We did a follow up interview earlier this week. Stay tuned… Cheers…

    1. Why are human-like figures always seen in profile? The Egyptians did not show much in the way of perspective either, but the importance of people or gods may have been reflected by size, so it was probably symbolic…as were their gods)
(Explain Picasso’s art. and paintings of women.🙄)

It’s about the culture and their own way of conveying what they believed and how they lived.

      1. Yes. The sizes and relative positioning of the people and other beings showed their comparative importance and how they were related to each other. I wrote about this in another comment above.

Humans were shown in profile in order to best express the essence of each part of their body and spirit. Here’s a good article about that:

‘By portraying the face in profile and the torso from the front, artists could highlight significant aspects of a person—such as the heart and the distinctive features of the nose and eyes, which were important for the spiritual recognition of the individual. This method preserved both the identity and spiritual vitality of the figure, ensuring the individual’s essence would endure.’
        https://historicaleve.com/why-did-the-ancient-egyptians-depict-themselves-in-profile/

  6. In my personal studies of all things strange, from way back, I heard that the Djed pillars themselves were a power source. They were said to be made up of cones within cones, the points of which sit about halfway up the cone below. They were apparently designed to use a principle called ‘weight-into-motion’, which essentially translates the downward pull of gravity into a sidewards circular processional motion, like the wobbling motion of a spinning top. The multiple cone layers were, I heard, to maintain a constant state of instability, which in effect caused a continuous vibration of the cones and their upper rings, against one another. The layered material they were made from, coupled with their constant vibrational movement were said to build up a high static charge, the release of which was used to power the jars above…whatever they were.
Interesting the information you find sometimes, isn’t it? Whether it be truth or not…it certainly makes you wonder.

    1. The Djed itself is known as a symbol of stability. That being said, there is more than one image of the ‘bulbs’ at Dendera. So…that djed, where it is, what it’s doing may be a key.

One shows 2 bulbs facing one another. One is supported by a human figure with the symbol of the sun on on her head. The bulb facing that image has the the actual bulb supported by the djed. (Sosa’s image)

Another ‘bulb’ has the djed supporting the ‘snake’ within the bulb. A fourth image has the ‘bulb’ supported by the djed (NO HANDS). Yet another bulb is simply held by a human figure, period. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendera_light). None of this minimizes Sosa’s discovery and interpretation, but the other images may be important for taking it further. I have seen all the images before, but had forgotten about them.

There is no doubt in my mind that creation is a theme, but what’s being created? Light? Energy? Something else?

This has been a great discussion! Woo-hoo!
