It happened in 1917 in Portugal. It was called a Marian Apparition by the Catholic Church. In this week’s Dreamland Portuguese Fatima expert Francisco Mourão Corrêa takes us through the story of what was happened the first and most witnessed UFO event in modern times. Why did it happen when it did? Were any of the Fatima secrets real? What was behind the Church’s decision to declare the event a Marian apparition when 50,000 people (including a priest Whitley met in the 1970s) had seen something in the sky that was said to be the “sun dancing” but which, as the witness told Whitley, “was clearly something else,” which he characterized as a UFO. Listen as Francisco, calling on his years of study, explains to us exactly what happened and what it may mean.

At the beginning of the show, Whitley talks about fainting during the episode because of something that happened during the 3AM meditation that he has every morning. He then explains this at the end of the show and reads a mind-boggling passage from the book he is working on now.

The image was taken at Fatima during the “sun” episode.

  1. Marvelous! I’ve researched Fatima, and the added details, courtesy of Francisco that I have never heard before, added a lot to the story, while also bringing up more important questions. My research indicated that Lucia, was the only survivor of the three children a year later, Francisco and Jacinta perishing from influenza during the Great Pandemic in 1918. Maybe the beings knew that, and chose Lucia to be the primary witness, the other two children more on the periphery?

Regarding the Miracle of the Sun: The photo accompanying the the blurb about this show…I posted some pictures taken during the recent eclipse here in Texas on the message board that have similarities to the one above. I don’t think anyone paid attention to them, thinking they were seeing an actual photo of a full, bright sun. A friend (and member at Unknown Country) didn’t understand the photos either, or what she was seeing, until I sent them to her again and circled the actual eclipsed sun—with a very big and bright, round object in the foreground. We did not see the light in the sky or in the camera’s viewfinder, until it showed up in the photos. My partner and I were perplexed by it all.

This morning, and before I knew the topic on this week’s ‘Dreamland’, my partner and I had a long discussion at breakfast about the Sacred Feminine, and I had him retrieve my copy of Merlin Stone’s ‘When God was a Woman’ from the bookshelf in my office. He found it immediately and remarked, “I must need to read this book, because when I looked at the shelves, my eyes went right to it.” I have a LOT of books!

I am hesitant to bring this up—but…I also kind of ‘left the room’ at the same time as Whitley did. I came back when Whitley said, “Francisco, let’s get started again.” After listening to the end, I backed up through the talk to find where the disconnect happened. It appears to have been right after Francisco started talking about a female friend who was asked to help research Fatima, and was going to write a thesis and research the role of women on the First Republic. Somewhat odd…but then Whitley has Anne looking over his shoulder.🙂

A lot to take in and think about…Thanks Whitley and Francisco, for filling in the gaps on a extraordinary event in history!

    1. Yes, I had to back up the video then as well. Perhaps that research should be found?

  2. Interesting that there is a solar flare today……..

SpaceWeather.com — News and information about meteor showers, solar flares, auroras, and near-Earth asteroids

    https://spaceweather.com/

EARTH-DIRECTED CME–CONFIRMED: Today’s X-class solar flare (described below) did indeed produce a CME, and it has an Earth-directed component. NASA and NOAA forecast models suggest the southern flank of the CME will arrive on May 5th after 1800 UT. The impact could cause G1 to G2-class geomagnetic storms on May 5th and 6th. Aurora alerts: SMS Text

X-CLASS SOLAR FLARE (UPDATED): New sunspot AR3663 erupted this morning, May 3rd @ 0222 UT, producing an X1.6-class solar flare. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory captured the extreme ultraviolet flash:

    1. ANOTHER STRONG X-CLASS SOLAR FLARE: Hyperactive sunspot AR3663 erupted again on May 6th, producing a strong X4.5-class solar flare. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded the extreme ultraviolet flash:

This marks the 4th X-flare since May 3rd (X1.6, X1.2, X1.2, X4.5), making AR3663 the most active sunspot of Solar Cycle 25 so far. AR3663 is flaring so often because it has an unstable ‘beta-gamma-delta’ magnetic field, in which opposite polarities are bumping together in explosive proximity.

Sunspots AR3663 and AR3664 both have a ‘beta-gamma-delta’ magnetic field that harbors energy for X-class solar flares. Credit: SDO/HMI

    2. Copied over most of the statements. You can see it through ordinary eclipse glasses with no magnification at all.

GET READY FOR A ‘CANNIBAL CME’: Multiple CMEs are heading for Earth (see the movie below). A new NOAA forecast model suggests that three of them could merge to form a potent “Cannibal CME.” Cannibal CMEs form when fast-moving CMEs overtake slower CMEs in front of them. Internal shock waves created by such CME collisions do an good job sparking geomagnetic storms when they strike Earth’s magnetic field. Indeed, NOAA is now predicting a severe storm on May 11th when the Cannibal arrives. CME impact alerts: SMS Text

SEVERE GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH: This weekend’s geomagnetic storm watch has been upgraded from G2 (Moderate) to G4 (Severe). Why? Because giant sunspot AR3664 keeps hurling CMEs toward Earth. Following today’s X2.2 solar flare, there are now at least 4 storm clouds heading our way. See how many you can count in this 24-hour movie from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory:

A NOAA forecast model predicts that two or three of these CMEs could merge to form a Cannibal CME, which will strike Earth during the early hours of May 11th. Cannibal CMEs are notoriously good at sparking strong geomagnetic storms and low latitude auroras. In fact, NOAA is now predicting a G4-class (Severe) storm on May 11th when the Cannibal arrives.

A CARRINGTON-CLASS SUNSPOT: Sunspot AR3664 has grown so large, it now rivals the great Carrington sunspot of 1859. To illustrate their similarity, we’ve added Carrington’s famous sketch (to scale) to a NASA photo of today’s sun:

Indeed, it could repeat. Studies suggest that Carrington-class storms occur once every 40 to 60 years, so we’re overdue. Don’t worry, though. The four CMEs currently en route to Earth–even combined–are probably no match for the monster CME of 1859. The Carrington Event won’t happen again this weekend. Nevertheless, it would be wise to keep an eye on this growing active region while Earth is in its strike zone. CME impact alerts: SMS Text

  3. My research on Fatima led me to believe that because of the times, Portugal had fallen to the Communists. There was a persecution of the Church happening.
All the initial reporting of the Miracle and communication with the children was reported by the newspapers at that time. All the newspapers were Communists publications.
The Catholic Church used the reporting of the newspapers to explain Fatima.

  4. Also when the final Miracle happened it had been downpouring. All the people viewing the Miracle of the Sun were soaking wet and in mud to their knees.
After the Miracle everyone was dry and the mud disappeared . The fields they were standing in were dry.
The Miracle of the Sun was viewed by people 50 miles away.

  5. Whitley, I hope you will succeed in chipping away at your sleep deficit soon. Thank you for reading to us the beginning of your book-in-progress. Hopefully we’ll hear more soon. I am sending protective energy your way.

This episode focusing on the Fatima case was both fascinating and emotional for me. As a young child raised in a devout Catholic household, I was drawn to the Fatima story told in highly religious terms in the 1952 film, THE MIRACLE OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA. It reeled me in with its supernatural, church-interpreted themes. But it also sowed the seeds of my rejection of Catholic doctrine. I was eventually forced to conclude that the religious promises of Fatima were, essentially, a form of gaslighting. As a teen, I became an agnostic; years later, a Buddhist.

  6. Perhaps they chose children because they are less influenced by life and would see what was happening from a more pure point of view. Also, they may have asked them to pray because it changes the brain waves making it easier to communicate telepathically..

  7. Whitley, I was immediately struck your profound exhaustion from the get-go. It was almost like you could see a dimming of the aura around you. By contrast, your guest was bright, even blinding at times! Something about him unsettled me. You were fighting so hard to stay awake and he looked like he was about to burst into song. You always exude positive energy and are brimming with excitement over the subjects on “Dreamland. We enjoy your impish humor and rapt attention to your guests, but not this time. It was like something or somebody was turning you off. I wouldn’t call it fainting. It looked like an outside influence to me, and frankly, it was a bit chilling. It definitely had something to do with your meditation hours before.

  8. Whitley, May all that is good and just and compassionate surround you, protect you and keep you safe. Blessings dear man.
    Om Mani Padme Hung

  9. If Francisco wants to find a 21st century event equivalent to Fatima, he may want to check out Chris Bledsoe and his book, ‘UFO of God’, (The Lady) and followup on things not mentioned in the book. Like Fatima, it’s full of religious and spiritual overtones, and I’m not sure what to make of it, except that the Catholic Church is not as much a part of it—but U.S. Government and intelligence are (Jim Semivan is one, Col. John Alexander, and others, as well as some NASA). I think the things that happened to Bledsoe and his family may be true, but…That’s all I’ll say.

Whitley, I know that your lack of sleep has been going on a while, and I hope that you get relief soon. It’s horrible. What the ‘people’ are doing is even worse, and I feel they are the bigger part of the problem, and are the “bearers of false gifts”. The “good” out there is within each one of us, that are also here for you and each other.

    1. Cosmic, I have listened to almost every podcast that Chris has done as well as his son, Ryan, who, although he wasn’t there at the initial visitation, has his own podcast-“Bledsoe Said So.” Yes, his visitations are considered a modern Marian event by some, but there are actually more Egyptian similarities here. I’d love to hear William Henry’s take on this issue! As far as Alexander and Semivan being involved, it makes me leery. You can take the man out of the government, but you will never take the government out of the man.

      1. Yul, oh, yes! The connection to Hathor in particular is part of Bledsoe’s experience, so a mixed bag in that regard, but mainly it’s about the Sacred Feminine, and the Mother of All. Getting back to Bledsoe’s Christian roots, she is the third member of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit.

  10. Whitley, you have me worried now.

I’m heartened by this information about Fatima, though. Like so many I was told the Catholic version as a child, and I did wonder about the “sun” event. A UFO makes so much more sense.

CosmicLibrarian, I think you’re right that Chris Bledsoe’s experience may relate. He too was coming out of an extremely religious background so was set up for a religious interpretation of his experiences, but then, the Lady did seem to very much lend herself to that kind of interpretation. I read “UFO of God” with rapt attention but was also boggled by it, especially because so incredibly many awful things happened to Bledsoe and his family in succession– more that than the UFO experiences themselves.

All I know is that Lady sightings of various kinds are common. I once had a Blue Lady vision myself, but it was brief and vague. I have also been in contact with beings that appeared to be the Blessed Mother or someone much like her, though I didn’t have visual or auditory input from them. I have the sense that there is help for us there but don’t really know what’s going on.

Here is some other Lady background:

  11. Author

I am ok guys but I won’t lie, like Them, this book is riling somebody up. Good!!

  12. I kept remembering a thread on the message board in the past where another poster spoke of a disease in 1917 in Portugal that almost killed her grandmother and aunts…They were saved by a “Lady in White”. Yesterday afternoon, I found the thread:

    https://www.unknowncountry.com/community/topic/references-for-the-pandemic/?part=27

Start with my posting #263, then go to posting #266, which is the other poster’s response, then #267, and #269 where we discuss the 1918 Pandemic. It’s kind of uncanny in light of the discussion with Francisco about Fatima and other ‘sightings’ on the periphery of Fatima.

  13. I’m confused. My comment is more about the last few moments of the show and Whit’s new book. Who’s good and bad? Or is it even that?

Obviously the entities that abduct people and put them through terrifying trauma are not good even if it’s for “their good of science”. We also have the out right liars and those who want to cover up the whole phenomena. On the other side we have the benevolent ones who appear to be helping, like the MOTK or those behind the Crabwood formation. Are the visitors just a mixed bag like us? How about the entity on the cover of Communion? We obviously are in a serious quandary, with a serious communication gap on top.

    1. As I’ve mentioned many times, I don’t know that given the wide spectrum of good and evil within humanity that we are qualified as a species to make that determination. And we often cause suffering, even as we try to do good. So, is that bad? Are we evil if we put people through frightening, painful experiences in order to save them from the ravages of cancer? Or an animal that we are trying to save by moving it to a new environment?

Maybe instead of labels like good/bad or good/evil we should be looking at… intent? And there are numerous communication gaps within our own species.

It’s all kind of crazy, isn’t it?

      1. Perhaps the carriers of the ‘carrot’, and the other group carrying the ‘stick’, each wish for us to develop strong souls, but each for their own entirely dirrerent reasons.

But although we may appear to be stuck between those two teachers, forced to dance on the boundary between dark and light, perhaps it is the only way to ensure we experience an impetus for change…a forward trajectory, without which, stagnation would be the only path. Resistance to an impeding force is uncomfortable…but is the best, perhaps the only way, to build strength.
Maybe only then, we get to choose our own direction.

      2. My problem with the phenomena is the seat we have. It doesn’t appear we have equal footing. They have been here a very long time and I fear they have exploited our relationship.

  14. Hi Whitley,
The description you read out of your upcoming book reminded me of Don Juan Mattus and his discussion with Carlos Castaneda about the “Topic of Topics”.

In Castaneda’s last book, The Active Side of Infinity, there’s a chapter called “Mud Shadows” where he describes creatures that are parasites of humanity and live off of our energy. They hide from us by giving us their minds.

The following is a quote from that chapter ‘Mud Shadows’ where Don Juan tells about what the ancient Mexican sorcerers discovered.

“They discovered that we have a companion for life,” he said as clearly as he could. “We have a predator that came from the depths of the cosmos and took over the rule of our lives. Human beings are its prisoners. The predator is our lord and master. It has rendered us docile, helpless. If we want to protest, it suppresses our protest. If we want to act independently, it demands that we don’t do so.”
“…They gave us their mind! Do you hear me? The predators gave us their mind, which becomes our mind. The predators’ mind is baroque, contradictory, morose, filled with the fear of being discovered any minute now.”

Don Juan said the ancient sorcerers called this ‘the Topic of Topics’. The description in the book is far greater than what I quoted. It’s spooky and unnerving.

I don’t mean to imply that the foreign installation that Don Juan spoke of is the same as the Grays. I’m not plugging Castaneda either. It just reminded me of what you read.

    1. That’s really interesting. I always suspected there was something parasitic about our relationship with them. Not sure if that explains it. This subject will drive you mad when search for real answers let alone the truth.

    2. I remember this. There was also a description of what they look like and where they “live” as seen in Castaneda’s second attention.

Take those writings for what you will, but there are undeniable parallels to so much of what we’re learning from the visitor experiences. Hell, even some of the recent physics buzz terms and hypotheses are seen in those books.

  15. Two good books that I read on this subject are:
Heavenly lights- The Apparitions of Fatima And The UFO Phenomenon by Joaquim Fernandes and Fina D’ Armada- Anomalist Books- 2005 and Celestial Secrets -The Hidden History Of The Fatima Incident- same above authors and publishing- 2006.
In the past two thousand centuries there have been over 500 reported Marian Sightings. Of those sightings only 50 of those sightings are considered genuine by the Church. I have read all of these accounts and I am not convince that any of these account come from the Virgin Mary as well as from the other accounts.
I feel that we are guided but from what I do not know.

  16. This in the news today:

Vatican revamps norms to evaluate visions of Mary as it adapts to internet age and combats hoaxers

    https://apnews.com/article/vatican-apparitions-pope-lourdes-fatima-f9b5659e2947e7eb966db2e491e17267

‘The new norms make clear that such an abuse of people’s faith can be punishable canonically, saying, “The use of purported supernatural experiences or recognized mystical elements as a means of or a pretext for exerting control over people or carrying out abuses is to be considered of particular moral gravity.”’

    Interesting timing…🤔

  17. As I listened to the description of the Lady — the original descriptions that the children gave — I was struck by how much it resembles “fairy” sightings in the British Isles. Not Tinkerbell fairies, but Otherworld beings.

Has anyone investigated the Fatima site for buried stone circles, barrow tombs, or other ancient archaeological sites?
