Epic.org has just obtained documents they requested in a FOIA lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security, documenting the radiation risks of TSA’s airport body scanner program. These documents include agency emails, radiation studies, memoranda of agreement concerning radiation testing programs, and results of some radiation tests.
One document set reveals that even after TSA employees identified cancer clusters possibly linked to radiation exposure, the agency failed to issue safety devices that could measure the level of radiation exposure to them. A recent university study concluded that radiation zones around body scanners could exceed the "general public dose limit."
At least there’s a new cancer cure on the horizon: researchers have developed a method of disguising nanoparticles as red blood cells. They will use them to bypass the body’s immune system and deliver cancer-fighting drugs straight to a tumor. Nanoparticles are less than 100 nanometers in size, about the same size as a virus.
We can’t yet suggest a cure for any cancer caused by going through TSA screeners, but if too many airplane snacks have made YOU fat, we have the solution for you: Anne Strieber’s famous diet book "What I Learned From the Fat Years." Thousands of people have used it to lose weight and believe it or not, YOU CAN TOO!
