Contrary to previous reports, the group of photos of which this is one are not single images from a digital camera, and are not using an infrared light source, nor were they made in Italy. They are allegedly frames from a 4 minute videotape made in England in 1999. According to the Aquarius website, where they apparently first appeared, this is a description of their origin: “Mr XXXX was woken in the night by the sound of a neighbour’s dog whining, and a strange feeling. He ventured outside and saw a strange light in the sky. He describes the light as being in three parts, triangular with the brightest point of light in the front. Mr XXXX went back inside grabbed his video camera, and filmed for 4 minutes. He describes hearing a muffled noise near the end of his garden and approached and filmed what he called ‘strange little ghost’. Mr XXXX claimed to have had strange experience throughout his life and an interest in the paranormal.”

This website also claims that they found the video in the following way: “We obtained these frames from a hard disk whilst looking for a rogue ‘sleeper’ virus in a government archive file, in July of 2000. Notes in the same file, show analysis of the video footage by a lab at S4. The video was not in the archive but did mention a location noted as B21 – KB28. More info will be released soon.”

Unknowncountry Opinion: It is too early to brand these images a fake. The full videotape must be found and studied. Until and if that can be done, they remain an interesting unknown. Thanks for the reference to the Aquarius website go to Chris Augustin ofAliensthetruth.com.

Anne Strieber reminds us that hoaxes like this are nothing new.
