Ancient texts from India describe a scenario which sounds to us very much like a nuclear war. If this is true, some of the only evidence may have been made into jewelry.
In 1966, Veincenzo de Michele saw a strange yellow-green stone in the center of one of Tutankhamun’s necklaces, which were on display at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo at the time. It turned out to be made of glass?but a VERY SPECIAL kind of glass, that was older than the very earliest Egyptian civilization, around 5,000 years ago. Click here to see an image of the necklace.
De Michele and geologist Aly Barakat found that the necklace was made from one of a group of unexplained pieces of glass that had been found in a remote area of the Sahara Desert many years ago. The ancient Egyptians were glassmakers?some of the earliest glass beads were made during the New Kingdom period, around 3,500 years ago, but they weren’t making glass that long ago.
So where did the people who made Tut’s necklace get this piece of glass? Astrochemist Christian Koeberl thinks it came from a meteor impact, because it was formed a temperature that was much too high to have been created any other way. However, satellite images have not revealed any sign of a crater.
American geophysicist John Wasson thinks it was a meteor that exploded it the air, before it had a chance to impact the earth. The force of the explosion would have been similar to that of an atomic bomb. It thought that this type of meteor explosion is what caused 60 million trees to be mysteriously knocked down in over 800 square miles in the forest of Tunguska in Siberia in 1908.
Mark Boslough, who studies these types of events, says, “There are hundreds of times more of these smaller asteroids than there are the big ones the astronomers track. There will be another impact on the earth. It’s just a matter of when.” Or is it a matter of when someone explodes the next nuclear bomb?
It will be sooner, rather than later, if we don’t do something about the nasty things our government likes to keep secret. It’s enough to make you believe in sinister forces! (Note to conspiracy fans: Book 3 is coming soon!)
Something else that’s coming soon is Whitley’s dynamite, tell-all book The Grays, which will be published on August 22nd. However, it WON’T be available in our bookstore, but Whitley will be sending a free signed bookplate to all subscribers, so don?t wait any longer: subscribe today!
