Is Someone Killing Off BP Whistleblowers?

Six years ago, people began to notice that microbiologists seemed to be mysteriously dying. Now the BP researchers seem to be have some kind of mysterious affliction as well. In the past year, 9 whistleblowers of the Gulf oil spill all died in extremely mysterious ways. Their deaths could be strange, unrelated coincidences. Or they could have been killed as part of a conspiracy to silence those who were speaking out against the worst oil spill in American history.

One of these is the unsolved murder of the former high Pentagon official John P. Wheeler III, aged 67. His badly beaten body was discovered in a Wilmington, Delaware landfill last New Year’s weekend. There was speculation that Wheeler was going to blow the whistle on the mysterious bird and fish deaths in Arkansas and Texas, and was ALSO about to tie thesse to the chemtrails seen in the sky over the past decade (NOTE: Subscribers can still listen to both of these shows).

In Dprogram.net, Pat Shannan reports on 9 other mysterious BP whistleblower deaths: Matthew Simmons, 67, a former energy advisor to President George W. Bush, was found dead in his hot tub in Maine last August. Four days later, 87-year-old ex-senator Ted Stevens, died in a plane crash. Stevens represented Alaska and BP had donated $1 million to the University of Alaska to catalog Stevens’s papers. Before his death, Stevens was rumored to have received information regarding BP’s faulty blowout preventer. Roger Grooters was run over by a truck in front of his wife while on a cross country bike ride on September 10 that was designed to draw attention to the Gulf Coast oil disaster.

A month later, Dr. Geoffrey Gardner of Lakeland, Florida disappeared while investigating unexplained bird deaths near Sarasota that are suspected to have been caused by the BP oil disaster. No one has heard from or spoken with him since that day. On November 15, Chitra Chaunhan, who worked in the Center for Biological Defense and Global Health Infectious Disease Research, was found dead of cyanide poisoning in a Florida hotel room. Her death was officially ruled a suicide.

The following week, James Patrick Black, director of operations for BP’s restoration organization for the oil spill, died in Florida in a another small plane crash. Dr. Thomas B. Manton had been sentenced to 15 years last August on a phony child pornography charge and appears to have been murdered in prison (sexual charges seem to be a common way to get whistleblowers, like Wikileaks’s Julian Assage, incarcerated) He was one of the first to warn the public that far more oil than what BP had reported was gushing into the gulf every day and that the massive, toxic oil and chemical plumes would travel up the eastern seaboard, contaminating beaches and wildlife all the way. On May 28 he wrote, "Once the winds change, it will come eastward and pollute the beaches of the west coast of Florida, and the ‘loop current’ could carry this oil spill right around Florida, through the Florida Keys and pollute the east coast of Florida as well." Dr. Tom Termotto, national coordinator of the Gulf Oil Spill Remediation Conference, says the pornography evidence was planted on Manton’s computer.

Anthony Nicholas Tremonte, aged 31, was also arrested in January and charged with one count of possession of child pornography. It’s not known whether or not he posed any threat to BP, but as an officer with the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources on the Gulf Coast, he may have known enough to become a whistleblower. He faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted.
