The Loch Ness Monster is probably the most famouscryptozoological mystery in the world, and now new videosuggests that the monster may be real. Cryptozoologsts aresaying that this is among the finest videos ever made of thecreature, and observation of it makes it hard to believethat it is anything other than a real animal, very long andthin, swimming easily just beneath the surface of the loch.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this jet black thing, about 45 feet long, moving fairly fast in thewater,” said Gordon Holmes, the Yorkshire lab technician whotook the video on Saturday. It moved about 5 miles per hourand appeared like a huge eel. The European eel (Anguillaanguilla) is a freshwater creature that is common throughoutEurope, but finding one more than a few feet long would behighly unusual. In addition, this creature appears to havesubstantial mass behind its long neck, unlike an eel.
In fact, this nearly 50 foot creature would represent anentirely new species ofEuropeaneel, if that’s what it is.
