A newly released Department of Defense case file describes a potato-shaped unidentified aerial phenomenon observed in Colorado Springs, over Cheyenne Mountain.
The release, published through the Pentagon’s ongoing UAP transparency initiative, marks the third public disclosure of case materials intended to provide greater insight into reports investigated by military and government personnel.
Among the newly released cases is an incident connected to the Colorado Springs area involving what observers reportedly described as a “potato-shaped” object. According to war.gov/UFO ,military personnel observed the object over Cheyenne Mountain during an encounter that was later documented and reviewed as part of the government’s UAP reporting process.

Cheyenne Mountain, home to North American Aerospace Defense Command and closely associated with United States Northern Command, is one of the most strategically important military facilities in the United States. Built deep inside a granite mountain near Colorado Springs during the Cold War, it was designed to withstand nuclear attack while providing continuous aerospace warning, missile detection, and homeland defense operations. Scientifically, the facility has played a key role in tracking satellites, monitoring space activity, and advancing early-warning systems that support both national security and space situational awareness. Its unique hardened infrastructure remains an enduring symbol of the United State’s defense and aerospace capabilities. Beyond its military mission, Cheyenne Mountain is also known worldwide for NORAD’s annual Santa-tracking tradition.
The released material provides details about the observation but does not identify the object or offer a conclusive explanation for what was seen. As with many cases included in recent Pentagon disclosures, the report records witness observations and investigative findings while leaving significant questions unresolved.
The Department of Defense has increasingly sought to make portions of its UAP investigations public following years of growing congressional and public interest in unexplained aerial sightings. Officials have emphasized that UAP investigations are primarily focused on understanding potential aviation safety issues, sensor anomalies, and possible national security concerns.
The Colorado case stands out largely because of its unusual description and its proximity to a region with significant military activity. However, the released documents do not indicate that the object posed a threat, nor do they attribute it to any known technology or phenomenon.
The Colorado Springs incident joins a growing archive of officially documented encounters that continue to raise questions about what is being observed in Earth’s skies.

One of the first things I zeroed in on was a report about Zimbabwe…The Ariel School event happened in Zimbabwe back in the 90’s. I also have a book by Jim Marrs from years ago that documented how a remote viewer for the government saw an underground alien base in Zimbabwe. I’ll be looking at more of the files next week, but I’m not seeing anything earth-shattering or new, and some of the things I saw a long time ago, and probably leaked information.
‘Potato-shaped’ looks a lot like what has been called a tic-tac UFO. What needs to be pointed out is how this recent batch of files were released the same day as the movie, ‘Disclosure Day’. I think that is by design.
I agree with you—run of the mill stuff of the kind that turned me into lifelong researcher over 50-years ago—the welcome difference today being that we’re no longer the kooks and laughing stock. Will I live to see the alleged captured hardware, biological evidence or Congressional tours of Papoose Lake facility and FTD at Wright Patterson?
The last US President to not attack another country was Jimmy Carter 1976-1980. The last US President before Jimmy Carter to not attack another country was Herbert Hoover 1929-1933. It is said widely said without factual proof in the UFO community that an agreement was signed with ETs and a US President Truman or President Eisenhauer. One of things said without factual proof agreements about this agreement if it occurred was that ETs were given permission to abduct humans to study and in return the US government and military industrial complex received technology they could reverse engineer to have an advantage over US adversaries in war. Who and what kind of species finds leaders of war on earth, for the most part if not entirely, to communicate with? Why weren’t peaceful highly advanced spiritual beings, mystics, yogis of the HIGHEST abilities and maturity, experiencing quantum entanglement and time entanglement–not contacted by ETs and used as conscious ambassadors to lead an unfolding of dual species mutually guiding the evolution of humans and relationship with said ETs? As a human, who and how do I want to experience life with other humans. Do I seek out humans who attack other humans? No. Is there optimal conflict for growth in what I attract with awareness? Yes. What would happen if humans who are not part of any government who are highly advanced humans in a multitude of ways with multitude of psychic abilities were able to bridge the gap of understanding between lessor, or differently developed conscious humans who are not less or more, but bridge the gap of understanding by expressing and being a “lingua franca” . This I write is a comment relevant to Whitney’s post with regard to futility that one encounters eventually through inundation and then stepping back in a quiet state of peace and awareness and simply asking the universe for what highly conscious beings want and can do and then manifesting this, individuals through CE 5, Close Encounters of the 5th Kind, humans initiating contact, not ETs with the intention for not the maximum outcome, but optimal outcome relative to “time entanglement” perception and quantum entanglement and bridging a “lingua franca” that creates familiarity, awareness, instead of a unknown that creates fear; creating an awareness of an unknown that is constant change without identity vertigo, speaking to the whole of humanity as well as the whole parts, demographics, sub demographics, sub sub demographics yielding recognizing a unique consciousness with absence of fear, listening to the sound of the absence of suffering.
