The latest Pentagon UAP release includes witness testimony, video evidence and an FBI investigation into a striking orb sighting in the northeastern United States.

A newly released FBI case file and cellphone video have brought fresh attention to an unexplained orb encounter reported in the northeastern United States. Witnesses described glowing red spheres with brilliant white centers moving silently through the night sky, while investigators have yet to offer a definitive explanation.

The Pentagon’s latest release of declassified UAP records includes one of the most detailed recent government accounts of an unexplained orb sighting, complete with witness testimony and cellphone video.

Among the newly published files is an FBI case identified as the “Northeastern Orb Sighting,” a July 2025 incident in which witnesses reported observing unusual glowing objects moving silently through the night sky. The case was included in the Pentagon’s third tranche of UAP records, released as part of an ongoing government transparency initiative.

According to the FBI report, the primary witness first observed a bright red sphere outside a residence. After a second witness joined the observation, both described the object as a brilliant red orb roughly one meter in diameter. The most unusual detail was what appeared to be a bright white center that one witness likened to a small “plasma sun.”

The witnesses reported that the object rose slowly and drifted to the left. Moments later, a second, apparently identical orb appeared nearby. The two objects were described as moving smoothly and silently, maintaining a formation that suggested they might be connected or somehow coordinated.

One witness began recording the event on a cellphone. The video, now publicly available through the government release, shows two bright lights moving against the night sky. While the footage does not reveal the level of detail described in witness statements, it provides visual documentation of the reported encounter.

The newly released materials stop short of offering a conclusion about what the witnesses observed. Government investigators have not publicly identified the objects as aircraft, drones, astronomical phenomena or any other known source. As with many cases included in recent UAP releases, the incident remains officially unresolved.

For researchers and observers of the UAP mystery, the significance of the case lies less in any claim of extraterrestrial origin and more in the fact that it combines eyewitness testimony, recorded video and official investigative attention. Whether the objects ultimately prove to have an ordinary explanation or represent something genuinely anomalous remains an open question.
