A series of nighttime photographs taken over Emiliano Zapata, Morelos, has ignited online debate after witnesses reported seeing a silent triangular object moving rapidly across the sky. While some suggest the lights could belong to a drone or conventional aircraft, others argue the images show something more unusual.
Photographs of an apparent triangular aerial object taken over Emiliano Zapata, Morelos, Mexico, have sparked renewed discussion about unexplained objects in the night sky after circulating widely on social media during the weekend of June 27–28, 2026.
According to the Mexican newspaper Diario de Morelos, the photographs first gained attention after they were uploaded by Pedro Aguilar to an online aerospace-monitoring community. The newspaper credits Aguilar as the original source of the images, which were later widely shared across social media and local news outlets.
Witnesses reportedly described the object as a triangular formation of lights that moved silently and at considerable speed before disappearing. The available photographs show three bright lights arranged in a triangular pattern against the night sky, although the images alone do not establish the object’s size, altitude, or identity.
