UAP whistleblower David Grusch has been hired as a Special Advisor on UAP issues by Missouri Representative Eric Burlison for a four-month period. The appointment also includes the reinstatement of Grusch’s security clearance—the loss of which impeded earlier Congressional investigations—and will aid Burlison’s team in their efforts to disclose what the U.S. Government knows about the UFO phenomenon.
“The American people deserve answers about UAPs,” Representative Burlison, a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform and its Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, stated in a March 27 press release. “David Grusch has risked his career to expose critical information. His expertise will be vital as we work to uncover the truth and hold the government accountable.”
Grusch’s four-month appointment as Special Advisor on UAP matters began on April 1, and will advise Burlison and his staff on how to “navigate the intelligence community” and to formulate meaningful questions that could be asked of witnesses called before future Congressional hearings on UAP, like the ones held in July 2023 and November 2024.
“I think that it’s frustrating to me that we can’t continue to get any further” on the UAP issue, Burlison said in an interview with NewsNation. “One of the things that was highlighted to me is that we don’t have someone who’s an expert in this field helping us navigate the intelligence community….the thing is you don’t know which questions to ask. So how do you determine where to go when you don’t have the first clue?”
“[Grusch is] putting together a plan that we’ll be able to execute and then work through my office, to get some more information out through the committee staff,” he added. In addition to Grusch’s existing contacts, such as Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Burlison plans to establish a direct line of communication with U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to facilitate his team’s UAP investigations.
On June 5, 2023, David Grusch, a former high-level intelligence officer, was featured in an explosive Leslie Kean and Ralph Blumenthal-penned article published in The Debrief where he claimed that he, through his investigations as the National Reconnaissance Office’s (NRO) representative for the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF), had learned of the existence black-budget UAP recovery and reverse-engineering programs that have been illegally hidden from Congress for decades.
Alongside UAP witnesses/former Navy aviators David Fravor and Ryan Graves, Grusch also testified at the aforementioned “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Implications on National Security, Public Safety, and Government Transparency” hearing held by the United States House Committee on Oversight and Accountability on July 26, 2023, entering into the official record his account of the illegal UAP recovery programs that had been reported to him by over 40 individuals that claimed to have worked on the secret projects.
“I’m both immensely humbled and deeply honored to join Congressman Burlison and his amazing team of professionals in pushing for government transparency,” Grusch stated in Burlison’s recent press release.
“The public is rightfully demanding to know the truth and it is my true privilege for me to serve the people of this country once again.
“I will use all my expertise to support Rep. Burlison and help the US Congress restore full oversight while enabling the Legislative Branch’s ability to investigate and hold those accountable who have broken the law and lied not only to our Congress, but also to the Executive Office of the President, Director of National Intelligence, and Department of Justice.”
