For readers who have followed Whitley Strieber’s decades-long exploration of contact and consciousness, “Transformation 2026: The Fourth Mind” offers something different: four weeks of direct, interactive study with Strieber himself.
For Unknown Country readers who have spent years exploring questions about consciousness, contact and the nature of the visitors alongside Whitley Strieber, a new online course offers an unusual opportunity: four weeks of direct study with Strieber himself.
“Transformation 2026: The Fourth Mind,” offered through Ubiquity University’s Extraterrestrial Studies program, is an interactive four-week course examining ideas that run through some of Strieber’s most recent work — and many of the questions familiar to longtime Unknown Country and Dreamland audiences. According to Ubiquity University, the course is open to the public and may also be taken for one academic credit.
The course is organized around four broad subjects: the reported biology and technology of the beings Strieber calls “the visitors”; ethical questions surrounding contact experiences; Strieber’s hypothesis concerning suppressed human psi abilities; and possible approaches to contact involving citizen participation, what he calls “fourth-mind” training and questions about consciousness and the soul, according to Ubiquity University.
These subjects build upon themes in Strieber’s recent books The Fourth Mind and Transformation 2026. Ubiquity describes the books as complementary works, with The Fourth Mind presenting Strieber’s theory of a time-spanning mode of consciousness and Transformation 2026 bringing new commentary to his earlier account of living with what he calls the visitors. These ideas remain Strieber’s interpretations of his experiences and research rather than established scientific conclusions.
For readers familiar with Strieber primarily through Communion, the course also draws upon a much longer body of work. Strieber is a New York Times bestselling author of more than 30 books whose writing has explored contact phenomena, consciousness, climate change, ancient mysteries and esoteric traditions. He is also the longtime host of Dreamland and co-founder, with his late wife Anne Strieber, of Unknowncountry.com.
The course consists of four 90-minute live Zoom teaching sessions on Sept. 17 and 24 and Oct. 1 and 8, beginning at 11 a.m. Pacific/2 p.m. Eastern. Recordings of the teaching sessions will be provided. Four optional Monday integration sessions led by Linda White, Ph.D., are also scheduled, although Ubiquity says those meetings will not be recorded.
Ubiquity University currently lists enrollment at $199, including access to the live webinars, recordings, resources and a community group.
For Unknown Country readers, the course offers a chance to move beyond listening or reading and spend four weeks engaging directly with questions that have animated Strieber’s work for decades: What is consciousness capable of? What might contact actually involve? And how might our understanding of ourselves change if the mystery is larger than we have assumed?

I just saw this post today and wanted to register even if I had to watch a replay for the first class. It will not let me register because it has already begun. I am so sad I cannot take it. Please do another or allow late registration. Thank you.
