Professional treasure hunter Darrell Miklos is currently organizing a series of treasure hunts, searching for sunken Spanish ships that may have been carrying gold plundered from the Americas. Filming the expeditions for a docu-series that will be shown on the Discovery Channel, called Cooper’s Treasure, Miklos has a list of very promising candidate sites, provided by an unlikely source: a treasure map made by astronaut Gordon Cooper while he orbited the Earth in his Mercury capsule in 1963.

One of Cooper’s duties while piloting the Faith 7 capsule was to map out potential nuclear threats, but some of the magnetic anomalies that he detected were too faint to be from atomic sources, and were far from land in the Caribbean Sea.

Two new studies have added new evidence to the theory that a major airburst from a meteor or comet occurred over North America, ushering in a 1,400-year cooling period called the Younger Dryas that occurred between the Pleistocene and the Holocene eras. The Younger Dryas saw the extinction of most of the large land mammals across North America, and also the end of the Clovis People, a Paleo-Indian culture. A charred layer of soil, found at roughly 50 Clovis sites across the continent, suggest a massive wildfire that raged continent-wide, possibly caused by such a massive meteor strike.

Former NASA Spacecraft Operator (SCO) Clark C. McClelland has published a revelatory article on his Stargate Chronicles website, regarding a conversation he had with the late lieutenant colonel Ellison Onizuka, Mission Specialist on the Space Shuttle Challenger’s ill-fated STS-51-L mission. The article recounts Onizuka’s recollection of being shown a video of what might have been alien bodies, possibly recovered from a crash site like Roswell.
