UFO cover ups have been going on for a long time. Newly-released government files reveal that Winston Churchill, who was Prime Minister of the UK during World War II, received weekly briefings about UFOs from government intelligence experts. He ordered that one UFO sighting be kept secret so as to prevent “mass panic.”

BBC News reports that in 1957, the intelligence committee in charge of UFOs received an average of one sighting a week. According to the recently-released files, there were more than 600 reports in 1996, compared with an average of 240 in the previous 5 years.

Nick Pope, who used to investigate UFO sightings for the Ministry of Defense, says, “The interesting thing is that most of the UFO files from that period have been destroyed.”

According to the Chinese “People’s Daily,” the Chinese have discovered the identity of the UFO that closed down the airport recently.

But they WON’T TELL US, saying only (through an anonymous government source) that “It was not the proper time to publicly disclose the information because there was a military connection.” The official said an official explanation is expected to be given on Friday.

Photos probably authentic – A UFO shut down a major airport in China on July 7. The flight crew spotted the object while preparing to land around 8 pm in the evening. As soon as they reported it, outgoing flights were grounded and planes that were preparing to land were diverted to other airports.
